The Archdale City Council continues to take a proactive approach to economic development incentives by appropriating funds annually to enable the City to take advantage of economic development opportunities as they may occur. In recent years the City joined with Randolph County to facilitate the relocation of Sealy, Incorporated’s headquarters to Archdale and joined with Randolph County and the City of High Point to assist Thomas Built Buses with a major expansion of their manufacturing facility located in both Archdale and High Point.  In addition, the City has committed funds for the construction of infrastructure to serve the site of the local YMCA.   More recently, the City provided the matching funds necessary to enable the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation to secure grants on behalf of the City for the extension of water and wastewater service to an industrial site and for the productive reuse of vacant buildings.
